Why You Should Stop Being Poor — It’s Time To Make Some Money

Okay, I know how this article looks, “why you should stop being poor,” because you want to be rich! No duh.

Here’s the thing, while everyone wants to be rich, most people don’t actually try to be.

Can I Be Rich?

Now is the time when I should say “of course you can, anyone can!” But that can’t be true, or everyone would be rolling in money like Scrooge McDuck, wouldn’t they?

Well, of course you can! But- and it’s a big BUT, you need to do more than just want it, you need to work towards it. I don’t mean working hard, lots of us do that, but we’re working hard to pay the bills. Working towards being rich isn’t the same thing at all.

What’s The Difference?!

When you’re working to pay the bills, that’s your goal, and if you work hard you’ll achieve it.

The same thing goes for being rich, it’s not just a matter of working hard, but of changing your goals. You need to do more than just pay the bills, you need to put your money to work for you, to make more money.

Nobody has ever gotten rich just by working low-wage jobs, no matter how hard they work. If you’re working 2 or 3 low-paying jobs, you’re only getting the wages from those jobs. They will never, ever, add up to enough money to make you rich.

However if you work hard enough to have a few dollars to spare, and you put those dollars to work for you earning more dollars, that’s when the profits start to stack up.

Using Money To Make Money

This is how all the “elites” do it. I’m sure you’ve never seen a rich man flipping burgers 14 hours a day, though that is where some of them got their start.

There have been a lot of people recently who have been learning how to make money off real estate, or the stock market. It doesn’t take a whole lot of money to get started, but if you don’t get started, you’ll certainly never make it to the top.

Where To Start

There isn’t a one-off solution, I’m not selling some get rich quick scheme. The answer will be different for everyone, and that’s how it should be.

There’s lots of room at the top, but if everyone could get there by following a few simple steps written in a 500-word article, it would be pretty crowded up there. You need to find your own way to the top, but there is lots of helpful advice.

Prove It. Who Climbed The Ladder, and How

Kosi Stobbs is a great example, he’s a first-generation Canadian who climbed from the bottom to the top on his own. He got there through a little bit of hard work, and a whole lot of wise investing. Now he’s a real estate mogul and has been named in Canada’s Top 40 under 40.

He recently wrote a book about his journey, including lots of handy how-to’s and guides. It won’t make you a millionaire, only you can do that, but it can certainly give you some handy advice from a fellow who recently climbed the ladder himself. It’s called F$CK BROKE: LET’S GET RICH. All in Caps, because he’s that kinda guy.

He certainly doesn’t look like your average rich elite, but he’s got the bank account to prove it. From what I’ve read he wants to see a lot more people make it to the top. He doesn’t think the lazy, entitled ones have what it takes. The ladder is there for you to climb it and as you know no one is going to carry you into a cozy rich lifestyle.

If you really want to make it to the top, you need to start by not just wanting it, but working towards it.
